HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be
notified that

Mr. GUSTAVE BECKX
has been appointed Consul-General for New Zealand
by His Majesty the King of the Belgians, and is
recognized by His Excellency as such Consul-General
for New Zealand.

Appointment of Volunteer Officers.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased
to make the under-mentioned promotion and
appointments, viz. :-

In the Blenheim Rifle Volunteer Cadets.
Captain Robert Johnston, New Zealand Militia, to
be Honorary Captain. Date of commission, 17th
November, 1873.

In the Auckland Rifle Volunteer Brigade Cadets.
Honorary Sub - Lieutenant Edward Moss to be
Honorary Lieutenant. Date of commission, 14th
November, 1873.
Arthur Beale to be Honorary Sub-Lieutenant. Date
of commission, 14th November, 1873.
