The targets (6 x 2 feet, centres 2 feet across) were of light wood, covered with calico, and placed on trucks worked to and
fro on a tramway (by a windlass at either end) in rear of the Markers' butts. Speed about ordinary walking pace.
Distance, 200 yards. Position, any.
FIRST MATCH.—For Cavalry Representatives.
Time allowed, 3 minutes. Weapon, Snider carbine. One point added for each hit.
