Ranges, 500 and 600 yards. Seven shots at each range. Targets, 6 x 6 feet; centres, 4 feet; bull's-eyes, 2 feet. Any
weapons. Large-bore rifles received 2 points at 500 yards, and 3 points at 600 yards. Highest possible score, 56
points. Entrance Fee, 5s. (NOTE. In 1873 and 1872, five shots at each range; highest possible score, 40.)

Ranges, 200 and 500 yards. Seven shots at each range. Targets at 200 yards, 6 x 4 feet; centres, 2 feet; bull's-eyes,
8 inches. At 500 yards, 6 x 6 feet; centres, 4 feet; bull's-eyes, 2 feet. Large-bore rifles received 3 points at 500
yards. Highest possible score, 56 points. Entrance fee, 2s. 6d.

MOVING TARGETS.
The targets (6 x 2 feet, centres 2 feet across) were of light wood, covered with calico, and placed on trucks worked to and
fro on a tramway (by a windlass at either end) in rear of the Markers' butts. Speed about ordinary walking pace.
Distance, 200 yards. Position, any.

FIRST MATCH.—For Cavalry Representatives.
Time allowed, 3 minutes. Weapon, Snider carbine. One point added for each hit.
