THE following Table showing the Numbers of the Population (exclusive of Aboriginal Natives)
and Dwellings in the Province of Auckland, as ascertained by a Census taken for the night of the 1st
March, 1874, is published for general information. The figures, it is to be understood, are subject to
subsequent revision, but it is not probable that this will lead to any alteration of practical importance.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged for-
bidding the same.
JOHN MEDDINGS, of the District of Waimea
South, Labourer, Applicant.—1 acre, being part of
Section "152" on the plan of the said district.
Bounded—North-west (400 links), North-east (250
links), by other parts of same section, belonging to
Samuel Hoult; South-east by the public road from
Foxhill to Nelson; South-west by Section 153 on
said plan.
JABEZ AMBROSE PACKER, of the City of
Nelson, Wood Turner, Applicant.—20 perches, being
part of Section "180" on the plan of the said city.
Bounded—North (42 feet), West (140 feet), by
other parts of same section belonging to William
Harper; East (140 feet) by Section 200 on said
