FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TEN-ACRE BLOCK.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing 10 acres
or thereabout, situated in the Township of Palmer-
ston, in the Province of Wellington, bounded towards
the North-west by the Ahuriri Road, 2000 links; and
towards the North-east, South-east, and South-west,
by public roads, 500 links, 2000 links, and 500 links
respectively.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF THE MANCHESTER BLOCK.
THE boundary commences at a point bearing 33° 05'
magnetic from the trigonometrical station on Mount
Taylor, and distant from it 52,251 links; thence it
proceeds on a bearing of 313° 0', 64,860 links, to the
northern boundary line of the Rangitikei-Manawatu
purchased block; thence along the said boundary
line on a bearing of 266° 03′, 16,000 links, to a point
called Waitapu, on the left bank of the Rangitikei
River; from thence it follows the boundaries of the
several Native reserves on the left bank of the
Rangitikei River to the Rangitawa Stream, on the
following consecutive bearings and distances, viz.,-
190° 05', 997 links; 183° 02′, 18,130 links; 203° 44',
17,358 links; 113° 44′, 4,300 links; 203° 44′, 4,000
links; 293° 44′, 4,300 links; 344° 48′, 3,112 links;
254° 48', 5,417 links; 254° 52', 5,722 links; 180° 01',
11,207 links; 143° 01', 11,904 links; 81° 18', 3,300
links; and 171° 18', 1,540 links; thence it proceeds
westerly along the left bank of the Rangitawa
Stream, and along the southern boundary line of the
Reu Reu Native Reserve, on a bearing 253° 27',
1,150 links, to the eastern side of a road line; thence
along the eastern side of the said road line bearing
177° 03′, 12,550 links, to the north corner of the
Mingiroa Native Reserve; thence on lines bearing
consecutively 108° 22', 3,068 links; and 207° 09',
3,303 links, to the south corner of the said Native
reserve; thence on a line bearing 97° 56', 8,725
links, to the trigonometrical station on Mount Biggs;
thence on a line bearing 97° 43′, 17,852 links, to the
trigonometrical station on Mount Taylor; thence in
a straight line to the north-west corner of the Kawa
Kawa Native Reserve; thence along the northern
boundary of the said reserve to the Oroua River;
thence northerly along the right bank of the said
river to a Native reserve; thence along the inland
boundaries of the said reserve to a point where its
north-eastern boundary strikes the Oroua River;
thence it continues along the said river to the north-
east corner of Section No. 488, Township of Palmer-
ston; thence southerly along the eastern boundary
of the said section to a line of road known as Reid's
Line; thence along the northern side of the said road
line on a bearing of 123° 13', to a point 5,400 links
from the Oroua River; thence it crosses the said
road line and proceeds on lines bearing consecutively
213° 27', 5,769 links, and 197° 46′, 4,100 links, to
the Taonui Stream; thence southerly, along the said
stream to the line of railway from Palmerston to
Wanganui; thence along the north-east side of the
said line of railway on lines bearing consecutively
124° 28', 1,200 links; 124° 51', 14,224 links; and
125° 03′. ', 30,093 links, to the western corner of
Section No. 413, Township of Palmerston; thence
along the south-west boundary of the said Section
No. 413, on a line bearing 136° 07′, 7,993 links, to
the main road line from Palmerston to the Manawatu
Gorge; thence along the north-western side of the
said road on lines bearing consecutively 46° 10', 525
links; 76° 05', 2,050 links; and 46° 05', 2,522 links;
thence across the said main road and along the
south-west boundary of Section No. 449, on a line
bearing 136° 40′, 3,350 links, to the Ti Wi Native
Reserve; thence along the boundaries of the said
Native reserve, on lines bearing consecutively 6° 09′,
2,253 links; 11° 03′, 583 links; 41° 14', 466 links;
45° 29′, 906 links; 49° 14', 1,134 links; and 84° 05',
4,340 links, to the north-east corner of the said
Native reserve; thence on a line bearing 135° 00',
18,160 links; thence on a line passing through the
Gorge of the Manawatu River, and bearing 20° 00',
60,932 links; and from this last-mentioned point it
proceeds in a straight line to the starting point:
excepting always Sections Nos. 412, 413, 451, 452,
453, 454, 455, 456, 457, 462, 463, 464, 465, 475, 476,
and 477, Township of Palmerston; a reserve for a
ferry, containing 100 acres, at the Gorge of the
Manawatu River, on its left bank; the Parakaka
Native Reserve, containing 31 acres, being an island
at the junction of the Pohangina and Manawatu
Rivers; and the Wairarapa Native Reserve, contain-
ing 200 acres, on the right bank of the Pohangina
River.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
TOTARA RESERVES IN THE MANCHESTER BLOCK,
TOWNSHIP OF SANDON, MANAWATU DISTRICT.
RESERVE No. 1, containing 210 acres, more or less,
bounded towards the North-east by a line bearing
124°, 3,000 links; towards the South-east by a line
bearing 45°, 7,130 links; towards the South-west by
the line of railway, 3,000 links; and towards the
North-west by a line bearing 45°, 7,130 links.
Reserve No. 2, containing 470 acres, more .or
less, bounded towards the North-east and South-east
by lines 7,400 links and 6,452 links respectively;
and towards the South-west and North-west by lines
7,400 links and 6,452 links respectively, excepting
always the line of road known as "Reid's Line,"
running through the said reserve.
Reserve No. 3, containing 220 acres, more or
less, bounded towards the North-east by the Timona
Native Reserve and by the Oroua River; towards
the East and South-east by the Oroua River; towards
the South by the Kawa Kawa Native Reserve;
towards the West by the Manchester Block; and
towards the North-west by the Manchester Block
and by the Timona Native Reserve.
Reserve No. 4, containing 100 acres, more or
less, bounded towards the North-east and South-east
by the Manchester Block; towards the South-west
by the line of railway, 3,100 links; and towards the
North-west by the Manchester Block.
SUBDIVISION A—REFERRED TO IN SECTION 11 OF
THE PROCLAMATION.
ALL that parcel of land estimated to contain 10,000
acres, more or less, situated in the Township of
Sandon, in the Manawatu District, bounded towards
the North-east by a public road bearing about 303°
magnetic, being a continuation of the road known as
"Reid's Line" from the Oroua River towards the
Rangitikei River; towards the South-east by the
Oroua River, by the Timona Native Reserve, and by
a reserve of 200 acres for totara timber; towards the
South by the Kawa Kawa Native Reserve, and by
Sections Nos. 101, 111, 112, 118, 119, 124, 125, 129,
and 130; towards the West by Sections Nos. 85,
132, and 130; and towards the North-west by a line
bearing about 33º magnetic from the North-east
corner of the Mingiroa Native Reserve towards the
North-east boundary, excepting always the line of
railway running through the said parcel of land.
