Town of Nelson constituted a Borough under "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1867," it is enacted that the district
comprised within any of the cities, towns, or places
therein particularly specified, incorporated or reputed
to have been incorporated as therein mentioned
(including, amongst other cities and towns or places,
the town hereinafter named and specified), may, upon
the performance or happening of the conditions and
upon compliance with the terms by the said Act
imposed, by Proclamation of the Governor, be con-
stituted a borough under the said Act: And whereas
the conditions and terms by the said Act imposed for
the constitution as a borough of the district within
the town hereinafter specified have been duly per-
formed, have happened, and have been complied
with:
Now therefore, I, Sir James Fergusson, Baronet,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby constitute and proclaim the district comprised
within
THE TOWN OF NELSON,
as the boundaries thereof are defined in and by "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1867," to be a Borough
under the said Act.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Right Honorable Sir James Fergusson,
Baronet, a Member of Her Majesty's
Most Honorable Privy Council, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and
its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same; and issued under the Seal of
the said Colony, at Auckland, this thir-
tieth day of March, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-four.

Public Trust Office Fees.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At Government Buildings, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of March, 1874.
Present:
THE HONORABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Public Trust Office Act
Amendment Act, 1873," it is among other
things enacted that the Public Trustee shall pay
into the Public Trustee's Account, kept under
"The Public Trust Office Act, 1872," and in such
manner and at such intervals as is provided or
directed in or under the said Act or the now reciting
Act, all moneys paid to him or his agents without
any deductions whatever; and there shall be de-
ducted from the moneys so paid such amounts as
shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor in
Council, but not exceeding seven pounds per centum,
from the moneys so paid to the credit of the Public
Trustee's Account, and the sum so deducted shall
be passed to the credit of, and shall form part of,
"The Public Trust Office Expenses' Account:" Now
therefore, His Excellency the Governor of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by the hereinbefore in part
recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the Colony, doth hereby
order and declare that there shall be deducted from
the moneys that heretofore have been or hereafter
may be paid into the credit of the Public Trustee's
Account, under the firstly hereinbefore mentioned
Act, the respective amounts, at the rates and in the
manner set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
On all estates the gross collections in
respect of which do not exceed the
sum of two hundred and fifty pounds
(Β£250) ... ... ... 7 cent.
