straight line from the said angle to the summit of a
hill at Okaihau, called "Te Pare o Kawa;" thence in
a straight line to the south-western point of Oma-
pere Lake; thence by a straight line to the summit
of the north-eastern peak of the Tutumoe Range,
and continuing along that range to Mongonui Bluff;
towards the South-west by high watermark of the sea
from Mongonui Bluff aforesaid to the North Head of
Herekino Harbour.

  1. BAY OF ISLANDS DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North and North-west by
    the Mongonui District from the mouth of the Iwi-
    taua Creek to the south-westernmost angle of the
    Maungataniwha Block; towards the West by the
    Hokianga District; towards the South by a straight
    line from the most eastern peak of the Tutumoe
    Range to the confluence of the Wairua and Manga-
    haruru Rivers; thence by a straight line to the
    North Head of Tutukaka Harbour; and towards the
    East and North-east by high watermark of the sea
    and Whangarei Harbour from the North Head of the
    Tutukaka Harbour to the mouth of the Iwitaua
    Creek aforesaid; including the Cavalli, Moturoa, and
    adjacent Islands, and also including the Orohia and
    adjacent Islands in the Bay of Islands.

  2. WHANGAREI HEADS DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the East and South by the sea
    from the head of Rocky Bay to the south-eastern
    boundary of the Parish of Tamaterau; thence to-
    wards the North-west and West by the south-eastern
    and eastern boundaries of the said Parish of Tama-
    terau to its most north-eastern angle; thence by a
    straight line to the most eastern angle of the Parish
    of Paraheke, and thence by a straight line due north
    till it meets a straight line drawn from Kohatu
    Point to the head of Rocky Bay; and thence to-
    wards the North by part of the said line to the com-
    mencing point.

  3. WHANGAREI DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the East and South-east by the
    western and north-western boundaries of the Whan-
    garei Heads District hereinbefore defined, from the
    north-western angle of the said Whangarei Heads
    District to the Whangarei Harbour, and thence by
    the waters of the said Whangarei Harbour to the
    southern boundary of the Parish of Maungatapere;
    thence towards the South by the southern boundary
    of the said Parish of Maungatapere, and a straight
    line in continuation thereof to the Wairua River;
    thence towards the North-west by the said Wairua
    River to the north-eastern boundary of the Parish of
    Hikurangi; thence towards the North-east by the
    north-eastern boundary of the said Parish of Hiku-
    rangi; and thence towards the North by part of a
    line drawn from Kohatu Point to the head of Rocky
    Bay, to the commencing point.

  4. MANGAPAI DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North and East by the
    Whangarei District hereinbefore defined from the
    Wairua River to the Whangarei Harbour, and by
    the waters of the said Whangarei Harbour and the
    sea to the north head of Ruakaka River; thence
    towards the South-east by a line to the south-eastern
    angle of the Parish of Mangapai, and thence by the
    south-eastern boundary of the said Parish of Manga-
    pai to the north-eastern boundary of the Parish of
    Ruarangi; thence towards the North-east by part
    of the north-eastern boundary of the said Parish of
    Ruarangi; thence towards the South-west by the
    south-western boundaries of the Parishes of Ruarangi
    and Maungakaramea to the Waionepu River, and
    thence by a straight line to the junction of the
    Wairua and the Mangakahia Creek; and thence
    towards the North-west by the said Wairua River
    to the commencing point.

  5. WAIPU DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North-east, South-west, and
    North-west by the Mangapai District hereinbefore
    defined, from the Tauraroa River to the north head
    of the Ruakaka River; thence towards the East by
    the sea to the south-eastern angle of the Parish of
    Waipu; thence towards the South by the southern
    boundaries of the Parishes of Waipu and Maretutu
    to the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned
    parish; thence towards the South-west by the south-
    western boundary of the said Parish of Mareretu,
    and by the Mongonui River to its junction with the
    Tauraroa River; and thence towards the North-west
    by the said Tauraroa River to the commencing point.

  6. MATAKOHE DISTRICT.
    Being all that territory in the Province of Auck-
    land comprising the Parishes of Matakohe, Paparoa,
    Wairoa, and Whakapirau, and the Native land
    called Hukatere.

  7. MANGAWAI DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North-east by the sea from
    Bream Tail to the eastern angle of the Parish of
    Arai; thence following the south-eastern boundary of
    the said parish to its junction with the Parish of
    Oruawharo; thence by Allotments Nos. 104 and 103
    of the Parish of Oruawharo aforesaid, and Te Hana
    River; thence towards the South-west by the Orua-
    wharo and Tupuni Rivers; thence following the
    south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the
    Parish of Kaiwaka and the Kaiwaka River; towards
    the West by the Parish of Wairau; and towards the
    North-west by the Parish of Waipu, and a straight
    line produced to Bream Tail.

  8. PORT ALBERT DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North-east by the Kaiwaka
    River, the Parish of Kaiwaka, the Topuni, Oruawharo,
    and Te Hana Rivers, and thence following the north-
    ern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 103 and 104 of the
    Parish of Oruawharo to the southern angle of the
    Parish of Arai, and thence by the Parish of Arai
    aforesaid; towards the East and South-east by the
    Hotea River; towards the South by the Kaipara
    River; and towards the West by the entrance to the
    Wairoa and Otamatea River.

  9. MAHURANGI DISTRICT.
    Bounded towards the North-east and East by the
    sea from the south-eastern angle of the Parish of
    Arai to the Weiti River; towards the South by the
    Parishes of Okura and Pukeatua, and the Kaukapa-
    kapa River; towards the South-west by the Kaipara
    River; towards the North-west and West by the
    Hotea River and Parish of Arai. Including also the
    Island of Kawau, Motukeka, Motureka, Orawaike,
    Motuhora, and Tiritirimatangi.

  10. TOKATOKA DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the Hokianga District,
    from Mongonui Bluff to the summit of the most
    eastern peak of the Tutamoi Range; thence on the
    North-west by the Bay of Islands District; towards
    the East by the Whangarei, Mangapai, Waipu,
    Matakohe and the Wairoa River; towards the South
    by the entrance to Kaipara Harbour; and towards
    the South-west by the sea, from the entrance of
    Kaipara Harbour to Mongonui Bluff.

  11. KAIPARA DISTRICT.
    Bounded on the North by the Kaipara Harbour
    and the Parish of Kaukapakapa; on the East by a
