natures, initialed by me with the letters marked
F. A. P., affixed to the annexed Petition marked A.,
are the genuine signatures of the persons they pur-
port to be, and that such persons are inhabitant
householders of the district therein referred to;
and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously
believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an
Act of the General Assembly intituled "The Justices
of the Peace Act, 1866."

SIR, I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of
yours of yesterday's date, forwarding Petition for
the constitution of a Municipality at the Thames,
under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1867."
Herewith I return the Petition (a copy of which,
I think, according to the Act, should have been sent),
and in accordance with the Act, I have the honor to
inform you that I do not dissent from the prayer of
the Petition.
Permit me further to suggest that certain endow-
ments from the Thames foreshore and otherwise,
should by Act be granted to the Municipality, in
order to make it successful in carrying into effect
its duties.
