Warrant abolishing Polling Place and appointing
another in lieu thereof.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:

HEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections Act,
1870," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by Warrant under his hand, from time
to time to appoint Polling Places for each Electoral
District within or within one mile of the limits
thereof, and to appoint any one of such Polling
Places to be the Principal Polling Place for the
District, and all or any of such Polling Places from
time to time to abolish, and, if he think fit, to appoint
other Polling Places in lieu of those abolished, and
that every such Warrant shall be published in the
New Zealand Gazette: Provided always that no
Polling Place shall be appointed by the Governor
under the said Act unless he shall be first satisfied
that the place to be appointed is more convenient
than any other for at least twenty electors to record
their votes thereat:
And whereas by Warrant under the hand of the
Governor,
The Court House, Herd's Point, Hokianga,
was appointed a Polling Place for the District of
Bay of Islands for the Election of Members of the
Provincial Council of Auckland:
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:
Now know ye that I, Sir George Alfred Arney, the
Officer Administering the Government of New
Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority in
me vested by the said Act, do hereby abolish the
above-named Polling Place for the District of the
Bay of Islands for the Election of Members of the
Provincial Council of Auckland, and do appoint in
lieu thereof-
For the District of Bay of Islands:
The School House, Herd's Point, Hokianga.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Alfred Arney, Knight, the Officer
Administering the Government, and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and
its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of
May, in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-
three.

that the place to be appointed is more convenient
than any other for at least twenty electors to record
their votes thereat :
And whereas by Warrant under the hand of the
Governor,

Auckland for the Election of Superintendent thereof:
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same :

HEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of
Elections Act, 1870," it is enacted that it shall be
lawful for the Governor, by Warrant under his hand,
from time to time to appoint Polling Places for each
Electoral District within or within one mile of the
limits thereof, and to appoint any one of such places
to be the Principal Polling Place for the District, and
all or any of such Polling Places from time to time
to abolish, and to appoint other Polling Places in lieu

tives, and that the Governor shall have the same
powers of appointing and altering Polling Places and
Principal Polling Places for Electoral Districts for
the Election of Superintendents and Members of
Provincial Councils as, under the provisions therein-
before contained, he has for Electoral Districts for
Election of Members of the House of Representatives:
Now therefore, I, Sir George Alfred Arney, the
Officer Administering the Government of New Zea-
land, in pursuance of the power and authority in me
vested by the said Act, do hereby appoint the follow-
ing place to be an additional Polling Place for the
District of Mount Ida for the Election of Members
