Sale of Land in the County of Westland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of May, 1873.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," it is among other things enacted that reserves heretofore or hereafter to be made of waste lands shall be managed and administered by the Governor in Council: And it is also enacted that the specified purposes for which any reserves shall be held may be changed, and any such reserves may be leased, mortgaged, or sold, either in whole or in part, by the Governor in Council, as therein mentioned: And whereas the several parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto were, on the dates and in the manner therein mentioned, declared to be reserves for the several purposes therein set forth, and such reserves are now subject to the provisions of the said Act: And whereas it is expedient that such reserves should be sold, and that the proceeds of such sale should form part of the Land Fund of the County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir George Alfred Arney, the Officer Administering the Government of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Colony, doth hereby order that the several parcels of land so reserved as aforesaid, and as the same are described in the Schedule hereto, shall be sold, and that the time, place, and conditions of such sale shall be fixed by the Waste Lands Board of the County of Westland, and shall be published in the County of Westland Gazette at least two calendar months before such sale shall take place; and it is declared that the proceeds of such sale shall form part of and be paid into the Public Account to the credit of and to form part of the Land Fund of the County.
