Appointing a Warden of Westland Gold Fields.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of March, 1873.
Present:
THE HONORABLE THE PREMIER AND COLONIAL
SECRETARY, PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS OF THE
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it
is, amongst other things, enacted that it shall
be lawful for the Governor, by Order in Council,
from time to time to constitute for any Gold Field,
or for any part thereof, Wardens' Courts for the
administration of justice therein, and to appoint
Wardens of such Courts, with power to act alone or
with Assessors, and in such manner, and to exercise
all or any of the powers thereinafter mentioned, as
the Governor shall think fit to direct:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the Colony, doth
hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him for this purpose, appoint
GERARD GEORGE FITZGERALD, Esq.,
to be a Warden of all Wardens' Courts now con-
stituted or hereafter to be constituted within the
Gold Fields of the County of Westland, with power
to him to act alone or with Assessors, and to exercise
all or any of the powers vested in or imposed on
Judges of Wardens' Courts.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of March, 1873.

THE HONORABLE WILLIAM FOX, PREMIER AND
COLONIAL SECRETARY, PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS
OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

HEREAS by the nineteenth section of "The
Public Health Act, 1872," it is enacted that
ERRATUM. In Gazette No. 17, p. 180, in the appointment of Receiver of Gold Revenue at Greenstone, for Mr. James

Governor in Council may make orders from time to
time directing that the provisions thereinafter in the
Second Part of the said Act contained, or any of
them, be put in force in New Zealand, or in such
parts thereof or in such places therein as in such
orders respectively may be expressed, and may in
like manner revoke or renew any such order; and,
subject to such revocation or renewal as aforesaid,
every such order shall be in force for six calendar
months from the publication of such order, or for
such shorter period as in such order shall be ex-
pressed, and no longer; and every such order shall
be published in the Gazette, and such publication
shall be conclusive evidence of such order to all
intents and purposes; and none of the said provisions
shall be in force in any part of New Zealand until an
order directing the same to be put in force shall have
been made and published as aforesaid:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council, and in exercise and pursuance
of all power and authority in this behalf in him
vested, doth hereby direct that the provisions con-
tained in the sections of the said Act numbered from
twenty to forty-five, both inclusive, shall be put in
force in the Town of Napier.
