hereby reserved accordingly for a Racecourse.
SCHEDULE.
SEVENTY-NINE (79) acres, more or less, situate near
the south bank of the River Grey, commencing at a
point on the road reserved along the north-eastern
bank of the Omotomoto Creek, the same being six (6)
chains seventy (70) links south-east of the Omoto-
moto Bridge; thence following a line bearing North
64° 30′ East (magnetic), a distance of about thirty-five
(35) chains twenty (20) links; thence following
another line bearing South 40° 50′ East (magnetic),
a distance of about sixteen (16) chains forty (40)
links to the road before mentioned; and from thence
returning along the same to the commencing point,
and numbered thirty-four (34) (in red).

Delegation under Public Health Act to
Superintendents.
WHEREAS by "The Public Health Act, 1872,"
it is, among other things, enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit,
order that all or any of the powers, functions, duties,
authorities, or acts, vested in, conferred on, or
authorized or required to be performed by the
Governor within any Province, district, port, or
place in the Colony, by or under the fifty-third and
seventy-seventh sections of the said Act, shall be
exercised, performed, or done by the Superintendent
of such Province, with the advice of the Executive
Council of such Province (if any), as in the said Act
mentioned; subject, however, to any limitations or
restrictions as he may think fit:
Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Fergu-
son Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority enabling him under the hereinbefore in part
recited Act, doth hereby order that all the powers,
functions, duties, authorities, or acts vested in, con-
ferred on, or authorized or required to be done by
him as such Governor as aforesaid, within the Pro-
vince of Auckland, under fifty-third and seventy-
seventh sections of the said Act, shall be exercised,
performed, or done by
THOMAS BANNATYNE GILLIES, Esq.,
the Superintendent of the said Province, as and in
manner by the said Act required: Provided that
this order shall only remain in force so long as the
said Thomas Bannatyne Gillies shall be and remain
such Superintendent as aforesaid, or until other pro-
vision in that behalf shall be made by the Governor
under the powers aforesaid.

Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
