IT is hereby notified for public information, that on
and after the first day of January, 1873, the
Postage on Newspapers posted within the Colony
for delivery at places within the Colony will be
reduced to One Halfpenny each.
Postage stamp labels of the value of one halfpenny
each may be obtained at all Post Offices, and of any
authorized stamp vendor. Such postage stamp labels
are available only for postage of newspapers posted
within the Colony for delivery within the Colony.

named Robert Henry Steel, a native of Bury
St. Edmonds, Suffolk, England, about 36 or 38 years
of age, medium build, slightly lame, of sallow com-
plexion, with dark hair and whiskers, who is sup-
posed to have left Melbourne with Volunteers for
New Zealand, under Colonel Pitt:
Any one who can give any information respecting
him is requested to communicate with this office.
