IN the matter of "The Friendly Societies Act,
1867:" Notice is hereby given, that transcripts
of the Rules of
"The Loyal Band of Friendship Lodge of the
Otago District, M.U.I.O.O.F.,"
and the By-laws of
"The Loyal Mount Wendon Lodge, M.U.I.O.O.F.,
Friendly Society, Otago District,"
duly certified, have been lodged with the Registrar
of Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office, under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies
Act, 1867."

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
the eighteenth year of, the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following name of an Officiating Minister,
within the meaning of the said Act is published for
general information :-

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Name of an Officiating
Minister, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," has been sent in to me, in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of January; No. 9, of the
19th of February; No. 13, of the 14th of March;
No. 14, of the 23rd of March; No. 16, of the 4th of
April; No. 19, of the 24th of April; No. 24, of
the 17th of May; No. 31, of the 22nd of June; No.
32, of the 1st of July; No. 33, of the 10th of July;
No. 34, of the 15th of July; No. 41, of the 22nd of
August; No. 43, of the 4th of September; No. 51,
of the 10th of October; and No. 58, of the 1st of
November, in the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-two.

County of Westland.

Tenders will be received by the undersigned up to
noon on Monday, the ninth of December. The

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
on or before the 28th day of December next.

Hutt District. -Part of Section "38," 14 acres
1 rood 17 perches. Bounded as follows-Com-
mencing at a point on the north-west side of the
Hutt Road, bearing 292° 17', and distant 1025 links
from the south-east corner of Section 38; thence
along the Hutt Road, south-westerly, 839 links;
thence by lines bearing 276° 25' 500 links, 2° 11'
435 links, 285° 14' 737 links, 23° 30' 760 links, to
the Hutt River; again from the commencing point,
315° 45', 1748 links to the Hutt River; and on the
North by the Hutt River. Also, part Section "37,"
24 acres 3 roods. Bounded-North, 3400 links, by
other part of 37; South, 3380 links, also by other
part of 37; West, 900 links, by 185; and East, 900
links, partly by a public road, and partly by Section
275, the northern boundary whereof runs parallel
with and distant 300 links from Section 48. Also,
Section "185," 100 acres. - In occupation of
ALEXANDER PRINGLE, the Applicant.
Wellington.-Sections "930 and 931," 2 acres;
also, Section 1006, 1 acre. Unoccupied. - JAMES
WILLIAM MEARS, of Wellington, Saddler, Ap-
plicant.

Reclaimed Land, part Allotment "4," 11 perches.
Bounded-North, 150 feet, by Lot 5; South, 150
feet by other part of Lot 4; East, 20 feet by
Lambton Harbour; West, 20 feet by Willis Street.

CHARLES BOWKER.-20 perches, part Lot 42,
Christchurch Town Reserves, a rectangular block,
fronting Salisbury Street 40 feet, and back north 132
feet; the south-west corner being 188 feet from south-
