ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventh day of November, 1872.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869," it is
enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in
Council to appoint one or more persons, to be called
Official Auditors, to audit the accounts of all Official
Agents heretofore appointed or hereafter to be
appointed under "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865:"
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him by the above recited Act, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, doth appoint
GEORGE FRASER, Esq.,
of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, to be the
Official Auditor of the accounts of the Official Agent,
subject to the provisions contained in the said recited
Acts, in and for the Mining District of the Thames
Gold Fields, vice Thomas Ritchie, Esq., resigned.

IN exercise of the power in me for this purpose
vested by "The Westland Waste Lands Act,
1870," I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor
of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the sale of the
land described in the Schedule hereto to John
Evans, at the rate of fifteen shillings per acre.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land, in the County of Westland,
Containing by admeasurement one thousand two
hundred and fifty acres, more or less, in a square
block, at the Pocrua River and Lake.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued at
Wellington, this thirty-first day of
October, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
me for that purpose by the fifty-ninth section of
"The Westland Waste Lands Act, 1870," I do
hereby approve of the recommendation of the Waste
Lands Board of the County of Westland, that the
value of the improvements on the sections mentioned
in the following Schedule of Lands to be put up to
auction by the Waste Lands Board, on Monday, the
4th of November, 1872, shall be added to the upset
price of the said sections.
