A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it
is provided that it shall be lawful for the Gover-
nor at any time subsequent to the proclamation of a
gold field, to withdraw by Proclamation therefrom
any Crown lands which he may deem it necessary to
withdraw, and that such lands shall henceforth be
dealt with, sold, occupied, and disposed of under any
law or laws for the time being in force regulating the
sale, occupation, or disposal, or in any way affecting
or relating to the management or dealing with the
Crown lands within the Province in which such gold
field is situate, in like manner in every respect as
though such lands had never been comprised in any
proclaimed gold field:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the power and authority for this
purpose vested in me, do hereby withdraw from the
Nelson South-West Gold Field, proclaimed on the
eighth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-eight, so much of the parcels of land described
in the Schedule hereto, as are included within the
said gold field.

SCHEDULE.

  1. All that block of land lying between a point on
    the Inangahua River known as the "Landing," and
    Larry's Creek, in the Inangahua Valley, in the Pro-
    vince of Nelson, containing three thousand seven
    hundred and ten acres, one rood and seventeen
    perches, more or less, and bounded as follows:-On
    the West by the River Inangahua; and on the North,
    East, and South by the boundaries of the surveyed
    sections, excepting all sections at present applied for
    under the Agricultural Leasing Regulations.

  2. All that block of land lying between Larry's
    Creek and Fern Flat, in the Valley of the Inangahua,
    in the Province of Nelson, containing two thousand
    six hundred and eight acres three roods and seven
    perches, more or less, bounded as follows:-On the
    West by the Inangahua River; on the North by
    Larry's Creek; and on the East and South by the
    boundaries of the surveyed sections, excepting all
    sections at present applied for under the Agricultural
    Leasing Regulations.

  3. All that block of land in the Inangahua Valley,
    in the Province of Nelson, lying between the Inanga-
    hua and Waituhu Rivers, containing three thousand
    six hundred and one acres, more or less, bounded as
    follows:-On the North and East by the River
    Waituhu; on the South and East by the boundaries
    of the surveyed sections; and on the West by the
    River Inangahua, excepting all sections at present
    applied for under the Agricultural Leasing Regula-
    tions.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George, Gover-
nor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand
and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, at the Government House,
at Wellington; and issued under the
Seal of the said Colony, this tenth day
of October, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two.

WHEREAS by "The Wellington Reclaimed Land
Act, 1871," it is, among other things, enacted
that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
City of Wellington (in the said Act thereinafter
called "The Corporation aforesaid"), and their suc-
