THE following is a List of the Candidates who competed at the Examination for University Scholarships,
held in May, 1872, arranged in the order of the total value of marks awarded by the Examiners to
each respectively in all the subjects of examination. Showing also the Institutions, so far as ascer-
tained, at which the respective Candidates have received instruction; the Subjects in which they have
distinguished themselves; and the Class of Scholarships to which the successful Candidates have, on com-
pliance with the conditions prescribed by the Regulations in force, become entitled.
NOTE.—"English," in this list, must be understood as including English Literature and General
History.
