Bankruptcy Report Continuation

SUPPLEMENT TO THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 3

In another case the Accountant discovered a considerable deficiency in the balance at Bank as
compared with the amounts set forth in the books of the trustee as due to bankrupt estates in his
hands. This deficiency was made good, and the trustee instructed to place the trust funds in each
estate to a distinct account at Bank; considerable confusion having arisen from making common
cash of the proceeds derived from a number of separate estates. The remaining cases were settled
satisfactorily, and do not call for any special comment.

Annexed hereto are—

I.—A Return showing the aggregate amount of reported liabilities of adjudged Bankrupts,
the maximum and minimum amounts of such liabilities, and the relative limits of the
amounts of the same, for the period commencing 1st December, 1870, and ending 30th
November, 1871; and comparing the number and aggregate amounts with the results
reported for the Year ending 30th November, 1870.

II.—Return showing the condition of every Estate brought during the past year under the
operation of "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867," as required by the 228th section of the
said Act.

III.—Return of all Estates brought under "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867," which have not
been reported in previous years as finally closed, showing the amount of funds realized,
the manner in which those funds have been disposed of, and by whom the balance (if
any) is held.

Dunedin, 12th June, 1872.

GEO. BRODIE,
Accountant in Bankruptcy.
