Auckland, 21st May, 1872.

I, JOHN MUIR WAYLAND, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Provinces of Auckland
and Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that I have registered a Memorandum
of Association with Articles of Association, estab-
lishing a Company with limited liability of the
shareholders therein, entitled

"The Yuba Gold Mining Company, Limited."

The objects for which the Company is established
are-

  1. To carry on mining operations of any kind upon,
    within, or under mining property situate near Coro-
    mandel, in the Province of Auckland.
  2. To acquire land for mining purposes by purchase
    or otherwise, and to amalgamate with other claims
    and companies.
  3. To acquire purchase, erect, work, hire and let
    machinery of all kinds connected with the working of
    mines, and the rendering the ores therefrom available.
  4. To let, sell, mortgage, or otherwise dispose of or
    deal with, any property whatever of the Company, as
    the Company thinks fit.
  5. And to do all such other things as are incidental
    or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.

And that, in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a
Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this twenty-first day of May, 1872.

IN the matter of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," and in the matter of "The Flying Cloud
Gold Mining Company, Limited."

The following Special Resolution was passed at an
Extraordinary General Meeting of the said Company,
held at Grahamstown, 12th April, 1872, and confirmed
at an Extraordinary General Meeting held 13th May,
1872:-" Resolved, That the property of the Flying
Cloud Gold Mining Company, Limited, be sold, and
the Company be voluntarily wound up." " Resolved,
That A. Bryce Bain, of Grahamstown, be appointed
Official Liquidator."

IN THE MATTER OF A BILL INTITULED "AN ACT
TO AMEND THE NELSON CITY GAS ACT, 1871."

NOTICE is hereby given, that an application is
intended to be made at the next Session of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, for leave to bring
in a Bill to amend "The Nelson City Gas Act, 1871."
Copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Examiner's
Office, at or before the commencement of the Session.
It is intended to apply for power, on behalf of the
Superintendent, to change the site for the Gasworks,
and to erect and construct such works for the manu-
facture of Gas as he may think necessary upon Town
Sections numbered respectively 58, 59, and 60 upon
the plan of the City of Nelson, or upon some part or
parts thereof.

Dated this sixth day of May, 1872.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels
of land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged for-
bidding the same.

WILLIAM HILDRETH, of the District of Wai-
mea South, Nelson, Gentleman, Applicant.-423 acres,
being Sections "58, 59, and part of 140," on the plan
of the said District.

DAVID GREIG, of the City of Nelson, Carpenter,
Applicant.-3 roods 30 perches, part of Section
"644" on the plan of the said City. Bounded-
North by Section 645; East by Waimea Road;
South, partly (90 feet) by other part of Section 644
sold to J. W. Neale, and partly by Section 912;

JOSEPH SHEPHARD, of Fern Hill, District of
Waimea South, Nelson, Provincial Treasurer, Appli-
cant.-821 acres, being Sections "47, 49, 51, and
part '2' of 66 on Square 4," of the plan of the
Province of Nelson.

Also, 1333 acres 1 rood 24 perches, being Sections
"52, 53, 55, 56, and part of 66" on said Square 4.

EXECUTORS OF JOHN POYNTER, late of
City of Nelson, Esquire, deceased, Applicants.-25

plan of said District. Bounded-North by other

Also, 18 acres, being part of Section "7" on plan
of said District. Bounded-North by other part of
same section; East by Crown land; South by Section
126; West by Section 24.

JAMES PHILIP COOKE, of the City of Nel-
son, Painter, Applicant.-14 perches, being part of
Section "447" on plan of said City. Bounded-
North (40 feet) by Hardy Street; South (40 feet),
and East and West (each 100 feet), by other parts of

Caveat in each case must be lodged within one
month from the date of publication of this notice in
the Gazette.

Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

Dated this 18th day of May, 1872, at the Lands

1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged for-
bidding the same.

JAMES WOOD, of Meeanee, Gentleman, Appli-
cant.-27 acres 2 roods and 8 perches, being part of
Sections Nos. 46 and 47, Meeanee District, and being
a rectangular block measuring 1102 links by 2500
links, having a frontage of 1102 links on the North
Road, and the south-east corner whereof is distant
1000 links west of the south-east corner of said
Section No. 47.
Time for caveat, 24th June, 1872.
