IN pursuance of the powers delegated to the
Commissioner of Customs by His Excellency the
Governor,

DAVID DAY
has been promoted from the Fifth Class to the Fourth
Class, and appointed Clerk and Landing Waiter in
the Customs Department at Westport. This appoint-
ment takes effect from the 17th instant.

IN the matter of "The Friendly Societies Act,
1867," notice is hereby given, that a transcript
of the Rules of the

"Court Star of Tuapeka, A.O.F.,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies
Act, 1867."

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information:--

United Church of England and Ireland.
The Reverend JOHN KIDD WILLMER.
Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland.
The Reverend ANDREW BETT.
The Reverend JAMES M. THOMSON.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of January; No. 9, of
the 19th of February; No. 13, of the 14th of March;
and No. 14, of the 23rd of March, in the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

DIVORCE AND MATRIMONIAL CAUSES JURISDICTION.

NOTICE is hereby given, that three or more of the
Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
will sit at the Supreme Court House, Wellington, on
Wednesday, the 22nd day of May next, to hear and
determine petitions for the dissolution or for a sen-
tence of nullity of Marriage, under section 60 of
"The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1867,"
and also for the despatch of all other business
accruing under the said Act.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the parcel of
land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat in the meantime be lodged
forbidding the same.

Part of Section 1, Block I., Town of Invercargill.-
Applicant, JAMES HENRY MURRAY, late of
Invercargill, now of Dunedin, Gentleman.

Caveats must be lodged within one calendar month
from date of this Gazette.

Diagrams may be inspected at this office.
