THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
HELENSVILLE DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the Te Papa Creek
and the Makarau River from the Kaipara Harbour
to the western boundary of the Parish of Makarau;
thence by the western and northern boundaries of said
parish to the north-western angle of the Parish of
Puhoi; towards the East by the eastern boundaries
of the Parishes of Makarau and Kaukapakapa, from
the north-western angle of the Parish of Puhoi afore-
said to the north-eastern boundary of allotment No.
306, of the Parish of Pukeatua; thence by north-
eastern boundary of said lot No. 306 to the road
which forms part of its southern boundary; thence
Southerly by the centre of said road to the north-
eastern boundary of allotment No. 34 of the Parish
of Pukeatua aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern
boundary of the lot last named, and by the north-
eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 33, 32, 31, and
30, all of the parish aforesaid, to the road which
forms the south-eastern boundary of the lot last
named; thence crossing said road to the north-
eastern boundary of the south-western portion of
allotment No. 39; thence by the north-eastern and
south-eastern boundaries of said lot, and by the
south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 38 to the
road which forms its southern boundary, thence
crossing said road to the south-western boundary of
allotment No. 37, thence by said boundary to the
southern boundary of the Pukeatua Block; thence
easterly and southerly by said last-named boundary,
and by the eastern boundary of the Parish of Ara-
rimu, and a right line thence to the north-western
boundary of the Taupaki Block; towards the South,
by the Taupaki Block aforesaid to the West Coast;
towards the West, by the West Coast aforesaid from
north-western boundary of the Taupaki Block afore-
said to the South Head of the Kaipara Harbour;
again on the West by the Kaipara Entrance; and
again on the East and West by the waters of the
Kaipara Harbour aforesaid to Te Papa Creek, the
place of commencement.
WAIWERA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the northern
boundary of the Parish of Puhoi from the north-
eastern angle of the parish of Makarau to the Puka-
puka River; towards the East by the Pukapuka
River aforesaid, Mahurangi Harbour, and high water-
mark of the sea (including the Whangapraoa Penin-
sula) from the northern boundary of the Puhoi Block
aforesaid to the Okura River; towards the South by
the Okura River aforesaid and part of the southern
boundary of the land known as Dacre's Claim, to the
eastern boundary of the Pukeatua Block, thence by
the said eastern boundary and by the southern
boundary of the same block to the south-western
angle of allotment No. 37 of the parish of Pukeatua,
thence by the western boundary of said allotment
No. 37 to the road at its north-western angle, and
crossing said road to the western boundary of allot-
ment No. 41, and continuing along said western
boundary to the dividing line between the north-
eastern and south-western portions of allotment No.
39, thence following said dividing line to the road
which forms the north-western boundary of allot-
ment No. 39 last named, thence crossing said
road and following the north-eastern boundaries of
allotments Nos. 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34, all of the
Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid, to the road which forms
the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 306 of
said Parish of Pukeatua, thence continuing along the
centre of said road to the south-western angle of
allotment No. 308, thence following the western
boundary of allotment No. 308 to its north-western
angle, thence following the southern and part of the
eastern boundaries of allotment No. 306 of the
Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid to the Kaukapakapa
River; and towards the West by the Kaukapakapa
River aforesaid and the eastern boundaries of the
Parishes of Kaukapakapa and Makarau to the point
of commencement; including the Island of Tiritiri
Matangi.
AUCKLAND DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by the sea from the
Okura River to the Wairoa River; towards the East
by the Wairoa River aforesaid to Hewlin's Line;
towards the South by Hewlin's Line aforesaid to the
Papakura Creek; thence by said creek, and the waters
of the Manukau Harbour, to the Manukau Entrance;
towards the West by the sea from the Manukau
Entrance aforesaid to the north-western boundary of
the Taupaki Block; and towards the North-west by
the north-western boundary of block last named;
and by a right line thence to the eastern boundary of
the Parish of Ararimu; thence by said eastern
boundary to the southern boundary of the Pukeatua
Block; thence by the southern and eastern bound-
aries of said block to the southern boundary of the
land known as Dacre's Claim; thence by the southern
boundary of said claim to the Okura River, and by
said river to the sea, the place of commencement;
including the Great and Little Barrier Islands, as
also the Waiheke, Ponui, and adjacent islands.
TAURANGA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North-east by the sea from
the South Head of Whangamata River to the Whaka-
tane River; towards the East by the Whakatane
River aforesaid and the Ohiwa or Waikare River
to Lake Waikare-Moana; towards the South-west
by the northern margin of Lake Waikare-Moana
aforesaid, and by a straight line thence to the con-
fluence of the Orakeikorako Stream with the Upper
Waikato River; towards the South-west by a right
line from the Orakeikorako Stream aforesaid to the
confluence of the Waitakururu Creek with the Piako
River; and towards the North-west by a right line
from the Waitakururu Creek last named to the
summit of Te Aroha; and from Te Aroha aforesaid
by a right line to the South Head of Whangamata
River, the place of commencement.
MOHAKA AND WAIROA DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the North by part of the south-
western boundary of the Tauranga District, and the
southern boundary of the Opotiki District, previously
described; towards the North-east by the western
and southern boundaries of the Turanga District, and
by high watermark of the sea to Table Cape;
towards the South by high watermark of the sea
from Table Cape aforesaid to the Waikare River;
thence by said river to its source, and by a
right line thence to the north-western angle of
the Province of Hawke's Bay; thence by the
southern boundary of the Province of Auckland
to the Upper Waikato River; and towards the
West by the Upper Waikato River aforesaid to the
southern margin of Lake Taupo; thence by part of
the southern and the whole of the eastern margins of
Lake Taupo and the Upper Waikato River aforesaid
to the south-western boundary of the Tauranga Dis-
trict, the boundary first described.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation and take effect on the first
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-one.
