VI.—Proceedings of the Accountant in cases of complaint against Trustees, in terms of Section 227.

During the past year most of the cases of complaint against trustees and supervisors have been
settled satisfactorily; and in only two instances it was found necessary to have recourse to your
honorable Court.

Annexed hereto are—

  1. Report of the Accountant, showing the condition of every estate brought during the
past year under the operation of "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867," as required by the
228th section of the said Act.

  2. Report of the Accountant of all estates brought under "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867,"
which have not been reported in previous years as finally closed, showing the amount
of funds realized, the manner in which those funds have been disposed of, and by whom
the balance (if any) is held.

Dunedin, 9th June, 1871.
