NOTICE is hereby given, that, from and after this
date, no applications from members of the late
Hawke's Bay Colonial Defence Force or Military
Settlers, in reply to the Circular, No. 11, of the 18th
February, 1869, in reference to the military settle-
ment on land ceded by the Natives at Poverty Bay,
will be received at this office.

The drawing of lots for order of choice by those
who have signed the conditions will take place at
the office of the Government Agent at Napier, on
Wednesday, the 30th of March, 1870.

IT is hereby notified, that the Native Title over the
piece of land known as the Government
Paddock, at Turanganui, Poverty Bay, and of which
the boundaries are hereinafter described, had been
extinguished previously to the 1st July, 1869,
namely:-Bounded on the North by the Taruheru
River; on the East by the Matawhero Block, No. 5,
744 links; on the South by the said Matawhero
Block, No. 5, 4,094 links; and on the West by land
granted to T. Ureu, 897 links, and containing fifty-
eight (58) acres, more or less.

extinguished over the blocks of land mentioned
or described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.

PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.

Waihou District. - Taurikomore Block.
Estimated to contain 500 acres; situated near the
Waihou River; bounded towards the South-east and
North-east by the Hotukauri Block; towards the
South-east by the Rangiora Block; towards the
South by the Tawa Puku and Upoko Tauhi Blocks;
towards the South-west by the Upoko Tauhi Block
aforesaid; and on the North-west by the Arawhaka-
pekapeka Block.

Waihou District. - Hotukauri Block.
Estimated to contain 4,000 acres; situated on the
Waihou River; bounded towards the North-east and
South-east by the Rangiora Block; towards the
South-west by the Taurikomore Block; towards the
North-west by the Taurikomore and Arawhakapeka-
peka Blocks; and on the North by the Waihou
River.

General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information :-

United Methodist Free Churches.
The Reverend ROBERT TAYLOR.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing NAMES of OFFICIATING
MINISTERS, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in a List published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 29th of January, in the pre-
sent year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
first day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy.

IN the matter of "The Friendly Societies Act
1867," notice is hereby given, that a transcript
of the Bye-laws of
"The Loyal Naseby Lodge, No. 14 Branch of
the Otago District, Manchester Unity Inde-
pendent Order of Odd Fellows,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office under the provisions of "The Friendly Socie-
ties Act, 1867."

NOTICE is hereby given, that a certain Deed,
bearing date the twelfth day of January, 1870,
made between one John Michael French, of the City
of Auckland, Province of Auckland, and Colony of
New Zealand, Grocer, of the first part; George
Turrell, Stannus Jones, and George William Binney,
all of the City of Auckland aforesaid, Merchants, of
the second part; and the several Creditors of the said
John Michael French of the third part; whereby the
said John Michael French conveyed and assigned to
the said George Turrell, Stannus Jones, and George
William Binney the whole of his real and personal
estate for the equal benefit of his creditors, has been
this day filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand
at Auckland.

Dated this eighteenth day of January, 1870.
