specified.

General Conditions, Specifications, and Drawings
may be seen at the Offices of the Colonial Architect,
Wellington; and at the Resident Magistrate's Court,
Wanganui.
Tenders will be received by the undersigned up to
Noon on Thursday, the 22nd day of December next.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

THE Time for Completing the Public Offices at
Wellington is Extended to the fifteenth day of
May, 1871, and the penalty for non-completion in-
creased from £50 to £100 per week.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.—The
Partnership hitherto existing between Abial
Gifford Howland, Henry Redwood, junior, and
Leander Goss Cole, in and to the Wairau Flax Mill,
in the Province of Marlborough, has been dissolved
as far as regards Leander Goss Cole; and the firm
hereafter will be "Abial Gifford Howland and
Henry Redwood, junior," who will carry on the
business as heretofore, and pay all the liabilities of
the said firm.

SOUTHERN STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY,

IN LIQUIDATION.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Joint Stock
Companies Act, I hereby convene a Meeting of
the Shareholders in this Company, to be held in my
office, Temple Chambers, Princes Street, Dunedin, on
Wednesday, the twenty-eighth day of December prox.,
at noon, in order that the necessary steps may be
taken for the final dissolution of the Company.

I, the undersigned ROBERT ELLIOTT DAGG, hereby
make application to register "The Royal
Standard Quartz Mining Company, Registered,"
under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Limited Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and
sincerely declare that the following statement is, to
the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every
particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Royal Standard Quartz Mining Company, Registered."
  2. The place of operations is at Pipeclay Gully,
    Carrick Range.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is eight
    thousand four hundred pounds, in fifty-six shares of
    one hundred and fifty pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is £1 per 56th
    share = £56.
  5. The name of the manager is Robert Elliott Dagg.
  6. The office of the Company is at Melmore Street,
    Cromwell.
  7. The names and several residences of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at
    this date, are as follows:—

NOTICE.—The Botanic Garden Reserve, Tinakori
Road, Wellington, being a fenced Public Domain,
the public are requested to assist the Curators in
protecting it from wanton injury; and offenders are
hereby cautioned that the following provisions of
clause 9 of "The Public Domains Act, 1860," will be
strictly enforced :—

"Whoever shall do or attempt to do any of the
following things, without the license of the Governor,
upon or within the boundaries of this land, shall be
liable to a penalty, over and above the damage done,
exceeding £20:—

"Light a fire.
"Wilfully break a fence, or any part of a fence.
"Wilfully dig or cut the sod.
"Shoot at any bird or animal with a gun or other
instrument.
"Wilfully take away, destroy, or injure any bird
or animal being upon the said land, or any egg
of any bird.
"Take away any wood, shrub, plant, or other
thing."
