I, ROBERT VAUX ZINZAN, Member of the Royal
College of Surgeons, England, residing in
Onehunga, in the Province of Auckland, hereby give
notice that I intend to apply, on the first day of
November, 1870, to have my name placed on the
Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of
New Zealand, and I herewith forward my Diploma,
with an attested copy of the same, for public inspec-
tion, in accordance with clauses 13 and 14 of "The
Medical Practitioners Registration Act, 1869."

I, HENRY FREDERIC NORRIS, Member of the Royal
College of Surgeons of England, Licentiate of
the Royal College of Physicians, and Licentiate of
Midwifery, Edinburgh, residing in Wellington, in the
Province of Wellington, N.Z., hereby give notice
that I intend to apply, on the twenty-second day of
October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy, to have my name placed on
the Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony
of New Zealand, and I herewith forward my Diploma
for public inspection, in accordance with clause 13 of
"The Medical Practitioners Registration Act, 1869."

At a Special Meeting of the Shareholders of above
Company, held at the Company's office, 129, 445
Queen Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 20th
September, 1870, it was resolved, β"That the Com-
pany be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. A. E.
Cohen be liquidator."

NOTICE is hereby given, that an application was
made on the 13th day of September, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy, to His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
William Nelson, of West Clive, in the Province of
Hawke's Bay, and Colony aforesaid, Flax Manu-
facturer, for the grant to him of Letters Patent under
the Seal of the said Colony, for the exclusive use,
enjoyment, and advantage therein, of a new Invention
for the preparation of Phormium Tenax or New
Zealand Flax, by means of which the disintegration,
softening, and bleaching of the fibre-the flax having
previously passed through a stripping machine-is
more perfectly effected. And notice is hereby further
given, that any person who may wish to prefer any
objection to the granting of the said Letters Patent,
is hereby required within four calendar months from
the publication hereof to send to or deliver at the
offices of John Boyle Bennett, Esquire, the Registrar-
General, (being the person appointed for that purpose
under the provisions of "The Patents Act, 1860,")
a statement in writing setting forth the grounds of
such objections, and subscribed with the proper name
and address of the person so objecting.
