"THE CANTERBURY MUSIC HALL COMPANY,
LIMITED."

AN Extraordinary General Meeting of the Share-
holders of this Company will be held at the
Offices of the Company, in Cathedral Square, in the
City of Christchurch, on Monday, the 15th day of
August next, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, to con-
sider and pass or reject the following Resolutions:---
That the Company be wound up voluntarily.

That Messrs. Joseph Page and William
Stringer be appointed the Liquidators for
winding up the affairs of the Company, and
distributing the property.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
between the undersigned Patrick Francis Smyth
and John Corr, in the trade or business of Store-
keepers, at Westport, in the Province of Nelson, in
New Zealand, under the firm of "P. F. Smyth and
Co.," was this day dissolved by mutual consent; and
in future the business will be carried on by the said
John Corr on his separate account. The said John
Corr will pay and receive all debts owing from and to
the said Partnership in the regular course of business.

NOTICE
NOTICE is hereby given, that I, Joseph Kilgour,
of Greymouth, have made application to His
Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, for Letters
Patent for the exclusive use of an Invention of a
Water Balance Lift, for economizing Labour in
Mining, Building, and other purposes.
All persons wishing to object to the granting of
such Letters Patent are hereby required to send,
within four months of the publication hereof, to John
Boyle Bennett, Esq., a statement setting forth the
grounds of such objection, subscribed with their
proper name and address.

I CHARLES STEPHEN REEVES, of Dunedin, hereby
give notice that I have this day made an appli-
cation to the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
praying that Letters Patent may be granted to me,
for the exclusive use of a "New Process of preserving
Meat, without the use of salt or any mineral or liquid,
the meat remaining perfectly raw and fresh as when
cut from the carcase." Any persons who wish to
prefer objections to the granting of such Letters
Patent, are to lodge same in writing within four
months, with John Boyle Bennett, Esquire, Welling-
ton, he being the officer appointed for the purpose of
receiving such objections.

IN pursuance of "The Patents Act, 1860," we the
undersigned David Ross and Frederick William
Burwell, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, New
Zealand, hereby give notice that we have applied for
Letters Patent, for the sole use, benefit, and advan-
tage in New Zealand of certain Inventions and
Improvements in the Construction of Frames or
Apparatus for the Construction of Works in Con-
crete, and the use of Concrete in various ways. Any
person who may wish to prefer any objection to the
granting of such Letters Patent is required, within
four months after the publication of this advertise-
ment, to send to the office or address of John Boyle
Bennett, Esquire, at Wellington, a statement in
writing setting forth the grounds of such objection,
subscribed with his proper name and address.
