ALFRED PICKERING PALMER, late a Cap-
tain in the Patea Rifle Volunteers, deceased.
Under the provisions of "The Public Payments
without Probate Act, 1869," and the Regulations
made thereunder, published in the New Zealand
Gazette of 1870, page 212, the Colonial Treasurer
intends to make a payment of money due to the
above-named deceased, to a person not being his legal
representative. All persons objecting to such pay-
ment being made must give notice to the Colonial
Treasurer, at Wellington, within one calendar month
from the date of the Gazette containing this notice,
when their objections will be considered.

BERNARD MCGENISKEN, late a Private in the
Wellington Rangers, deceased.
Under the provisions of "The Public Payments

wise William Stevenson, late a Private in the
First Waikato Regiment, Tauranga, deceased.

intends to make a payment of money due to the

Office of Registrar of Joint Stock Companies,

I, JOHN ELISHA SMITH, Registrar of Joint
Stock Companies for the Province of Welling-
ton, do hereby notify that I have this day registered
a Memorandum of Association, with Articles of
Association annexed, establishing a Company, with
limited liability of shareholders therein, entitled
"The Union Steam Navigation Company, Limited."
The objects of the said Company are expressed to
be "the purchase and sale of steamships and other
vessels, the acquirement of freehold property for
offices, and the conveyance of passengers and goods in
ships or boats, between such places as the Company
may from time to time determine, and the doing all
such other things as are incidental or conducive to
the attainment of the above objects."
And I further notify that, in pursuance of the
provisions of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," a Certificate of Incorporation of the said
Company has been duly issued, bearing even date
herewith.

the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following name of an Officiating Minister,
within the meaning of the said Act, is published for

Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing NAME of an OFFICIATING
MINISTER, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," has been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 29th of January; No 7, of
the 5th of February; No. 13, of the 12th of March;
No. 21, of the 20th of April; No. 23, of the 4th
of May; No. 24, of the 12th of May; No. 26, of
the 26th of May, No. 29, of the 8th of June, and
No. 35, of the 30th June, in the present year.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
second day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy.

1867," notice is hereby given that a transcript of
the Bye-laws of
"Court Warieka, No. 4,925, Branch of the Nelson,
New Zealand, Ancient Order of Foresters
Friendly Society,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, and recorded in his office under
the provisions of "The Friendly Societies Act, 1867."
