Boundary—Commencing at Rukupo, thence inland
along a line bearing 101° 25' 625 links, 340° 40' 872
links, 286° 45' 787 links, until it reaches the swamp;
running through the swamp to the Rewa Stream, and
following the stream to the sea coast; thence along
the coast to Kaituna, Tarapata, Pongaheka; and
thence to Rukupo the point of commencement.

the Post Office now known as "Ferry Road,"

THE following Notices to Mariners, are published
for general information.

No. 13 of 1870.

BEACON ON FLAT ROCK, OFF KAWAU ISLAND,
HAURAKI GULF.

NOTICE is hereby given, that an Iron Beacon, painted
black, has been erected on Flat Rock, off Kawau
Island, Hauraki Gulf.

The Beacon is 38 feet high over all. It consists of
6 iron standards, braced together, the upper part
being surrounded by a cage 14 feet 6 inches long,
and 5 feet 6 inches in diameter, the whole being
surmounted by a diamond-shaped finial 2 feet high.

INNER CUTTING, BRISBANE HARBOUR.

IN consequence of the Silt deposited in the Inner
Cutting during the recent flood, the tidal signals at
the Lightship will in future show a depth of only five
feet more water in the cutting than on the Bar,
instead of five feet six inches (the least depth in the
Outer Cutting), as published in Pugh's Almanac, in
the Sailing Directions for 1870.

IN pursuance of "The Patents Act, 1860," we the
undersigned, Alexander Peyman and John
Thomas Chaplin, of Dunedin, in the Province of
Otago, New Zealand, hereby give notice that we have
applied for a grant of Letters Patent, for the sole
use, benefit, and advantage in New Zealand and
Victoria, of a certain adaptation of Vulcanized
Indiarubber for the Tires of Locomotive Engine
Wheels, Railway Carriage and Truck Wheels.

Any person who may wish to prefer any objection
to the granting of such Letters Patent, is required,
within four months after the publication of this
advertisement, to send to the office or address of
John Boyle Bennett, Esquire, at Wellington, a state-
ment in writing, setting forth the grounds of such
objection, subscribed with his proper name and
address.

tion, Manufacture, and Erection of Wrought-Iron
Wire-Rope Suspension Bridges.
