OTICE is hereby given, that Government
Insurance and Annuities Offices, under "The
Government Annuities Act, 1869," have been opened
at the Chief Post Offices at Auckland, New Plymouth,
Napier, Wellington, Nelson, Blenheim, Christchurch,
Dunedin, and Invercargill, and at the Post Offices at
Hokitika, Greymouth, Westport, and Charleston.
All persons wishing to obtain Annuities, immediate
or deferred, Life Insurances, or other advantages
under the Act, will receive every information and
the necessary forms on application at either of the
above-named offices.

OTICE.—" Provincial Compulsory Lands Taking
Act, 1866.”—Notice is hereby given, that it is
intended to introduce a Bill into the Provincial
Council of the Province of Otago, at its next Session,
authorizing the Superintendent of the Province of
Otago to take compulsorily, for the purpose of com-
pleting a road in the Owhiro District, a portion of
Section thirty-seven (37), Taieri River Sections, on
the map of the Taieri Survey District. And notice
is hereby further given, that a copy of the Bill so
intended to be introduced as aforesaid, may be
inspected at the office of the Clerk of the said
Provincial Council on and after the thirty-first day of
March next ensuing the date hereof.
Dated this eleventh day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy.

on the map of the said North Harbour and Blueskin
Survey District. And notice is hereby further given,
that a copy of the Bill so intended to be introduced
as aforesaid, may be inspected at the office of the
Clerk of the said Provincial Council on and after
the thirty-first day of March now instant.
Dated this eighth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy.

ATENTS ACT, 1860.—Notice is hereby given,
that application has been made to His Excel-
lency the Governor, by and on behalf of Spiridion
Rikys, of Wellington, in the Province of Wellington,
Gentleman, for the grant to him of Letters Patent
pursuant to the provisions of "The Patents Act,
1860," for the exclusive use, within the Colony of
New Zealand, of an Invention for cleaning Phormium
tenax and other Fibres by the use of chemical
appliances.
Any person desirous of entering an objection to
such grant is required to send, within four months of
the publication hereof, to the office of John Boyle
Bennett, Esquire, at Wellington, the officer ap-
pointed to receive the same, a statement in writing,
setting forth clearly the grounds of such objection,
subscribed with his proper name and address.
Dated at Wellington, the fifteenth day of March,
1870.

OTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between Robert James
Loughnan, Andrew Duncan, Philip Hanmer, and
Leonard Harper, carrying on the business of Flax
Dressers at the Halswell, in the Province of Canter-
bury, has been dissolved as from the twenty-fourth
day of February last, by mutual consent. All debts
owing or payable to the late Copartnership are to be
paid to, and the liabilities thereof will be discharged
by, the said Robert James Loughnan.

OTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned
Charles Walter Dumergue and Robert Andrew
Loughnan, as Flax Dressers, has this day been
dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be
carried on by Robert Andrew Loughnan alone, to
whom all debts due to the Partnership must be paid,
and by whom the liabilities of the Partnership will
be discharged.
