PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Weights and Measures Act,
1868," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor from time to time to appoint one
Inspector of Weights and Measures for any Pro-
vince, County, Borough, or District, or for each of
two or more divisions of any Province, County,
Borough, or District, the boundaries of which
divisions shall be proclaimed from time to time in
the New Zealand Gazette by the Governor: And
whereas it is expedient that an Inspector should be
appointed for the division of the Province of Auck-
land the boundaries whereof are set forth in the
Schedule hereto, and that the boundaries of such
division should be proclaimed:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
G.C.M.G., Governor of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the power and authority conferred
on me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare
that for the purposes of the said Act there shall be
within the said Province of Auckland a division or
district, the boundaries whereof shall be the boun-
daries set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of the Province of Auckland
known as the Hauraki Gold Field.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington,
this sixteenth day of March, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy.
