THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Reward of Five
Pounds (£5) will be paid by the Colonial
Government, in addition to the Military Reward, to
any person or persons who shall deliver over to the
Civil Authorities any Deserter from Her Majesty's
Military Forces.

IT is hereby notified, that the Native Title has been
extinguished over the several Blocks of Land
whereof the boundaries are described and the names
given in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND, DISTRICT OF COROMANDEL.
Kowhaka, Ahuahu Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the sea coast, at Mataruawhau;
bounded thence on the East, North, and West, by
Crown Lands—that is, by the Hangarua Block to
Parikorora on the sea coast; thence by the beach
to Matamawhau to the point of commencement. The
area of the said piece or parcel of land being twenty-
one acres more or less.
Whakakapua, Ahuahu Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the North on the sea coast at Wai-
paruparu; thence eastwardly along the boundary of
Crown Lands forming the Paeroa Block and Paoneone
Block to the summit of Takanui; thence along the
boundary of the Crown Lands forming the Hangarua
Block to the summit of Whakariwa; thence turning
in a southerly direction along the boundary of the
Hangarua Block to Te Ara Paiaka, turning thence in
a westerly direction to Parikorora; thence by the
sea coast to Waiparuparu to the point of commence-
ment. The area of the said piece or parcel of land
being twenty-three acres.
Ototoro, Opito Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the North at Pukekoromiko; thence
by survey lines bearing 78° 40' 548 links, 111° 10'
415 links, 46° 45′ 446 links respectively, bounded on
the Eastward by survey lines bearing 182° 30′ 7,370
links, 196° 50' 670 links, and 176° 40′ 250 links
respectively; thence bounded on the South by survey
lines bearing 255° 20′ 210 links, 237° 30′ 232 links,
285° 600 links, 238° 50′ 252 links, 216° 40′ 290 links,
242° 30′ 186 links, 212° 20′ 200 links, 236° 10' 674
links, 271° 30′ 365 links, and 301° 20′ 1,466 links
respectively; thence bounded on the Westward by
survey lines bearing 337° 30′ 576 links, 359° 45′ 580
links, 94° 45′ 449 links, 18° 30′ 2,885 links, 359° 20'
1,900 links, 353° 5' 546 links, 43° 40′ 1,370 links, 21°
10′ 273 links, 51° 30′ 454 links, and 21° 30′ 1,275

The area of the said piece or parcel of land being
two hundred and seventy-eight acres more or less.
Pungapunga, Whangapoua Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at Motuto on the North; thence by
the sea coast to the River Pungapunga; thence by
the said river to the Wainuiototo Block; thence by
the said block and by lines bearing 39° 825 links, 27°
1,504 links, 18° 1,430 links, 43° 61.8 links, 60° 7,850
links, and 42° 30′ 2,860 links respectively, to the
point of commencement. The area of the said piece
or parcel of land being three hundred and seventy-
five acres more or less.
Hinau, Waiau Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the junction of the Ramaioi Stream
and the River Waiau; thence by the said River
Waiau to the Hinau Stream; thence by the Hinau
Stream to the point where it is intersected by the
boundary of the Awakanae Block; thence by the
Awakanae to Kaikahawai; thence by Kitahi's land
to the Ramaioi Stream (the division lines measuring
2,007 links, 356 links, 389 links, and 191 links
respectively); thence by the Ramaioi Stream to the
point of commencement. The area of the said piece
or parcel of land being eighty-three acres more or
less.
Puia, Whitiaanga Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at Hahei on the North; thence by the
sea coast to Howoroa; thence by the northern
boundary of the Hoho Block to its north-western
angle; thence by survey lines bearing 91° 196

BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the North at Waipao on the sea
coast; thence by a line bearing 342° 2,730 links, to
a single pohutukawa tree; thence by a line bearing
209° 4,000 links, to the River Pipitiwai; thence by
the said river to its mouth; thence by the sea coast
to the point of commencement. The area of the
said piece or parcel of land being ninety-three acres
more or less.
Tarewa Ouenuku, Waiau Block.
BOUNDARIES.
Commencing at the junction of the Tarewa Ouenuku
and Hinau Streams; thence by the Tarewa Ouenuku
Stream to the boundary of the Awakanae Block;
thence by that block to the Komaru Potiki Stream;
thence by that stream to its junction with the Hinau;
thence by the Hinau Stream to the point of com-
mencement.
