1867," notice is hereby given, that a transcript
of the Bye-Laws of
"The Loyal Nil Desperandum Lodge, Oxford,
Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Man-
chester Unity, No. 5,637, of the North Can-
terbury District,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar
of Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in
his office under the provisions of "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1867."

BEACON ON SNAG IN ENTRANCE TO BULLER RIVER.
Marine Department,
Wellington, 25th October, 1869.
IT is hereby notified, for the information of Ship-
masters, that the Harbour Master at Westport
has reported that he has succeeded in erecting a
Beacon on the Snag at the entrance to the Buller
River.
The Beacon stands 22 feet above the Snag, and
about 11 feet above high water spring tides, and
is painted red. It is a single iron bar, stayed with
