TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:

WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections
Act, 1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful
for the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from
time to time to appoint polling places for each
Electoral District, within or without the limits
thereof, and to appoint any one of such places to be
the principal polling place for the district, and all or
any of such polling places at any time to abolish and
to appoint other polling places in lieu thereof:

And whereas, by warrants under the hand of the
Governor, certain places were appointed polling
places for the Electoral Districts in the Province of
Auckland for the election of Superintendent thereof:

And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same :

Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act,
do hereby abolish all existing polling places for the
Electoral Districts in the Province of Auckland, for
the election of Superintendent thereof, and do ap-
point in place thereof-

The Mechanics' Institute, Auckland;
The Public Hall, Parnell;
The Newton Academy, Newton;
The Devonport Hall, Flagstaff, North Shore;
Mr. Reid's Residence, Stokes' Point, North
Shore;
Mr. John McPike's Residence, Little Muddy
Creek;
Henderson's Mill;
The Store where the Court and Highway Board
sit, Weiti;
The Public Hall, Mahurangi;
The Post Office, Mahurangi Heads;
The Post Office, Waiwera;
Mr. Munro's Store, Matakana;
The Court House, Helensville, Kaipara;
Mr. Keogh's House, Pitoitoi, Riverhead;
The Resident Magistrate's Office, Drury;
The Resident Magistrate's Office, Waiuku;
The Post Office, Te Awamutu;
The Resident Magistrate's Court, Alexandra;
The Court House, Port Waikato;
The Court House, Raglan;
The Court House, Hamilton;
The Post Office, Upper Mauku;
The School House, Wairoa;

The Court House, Coromandel;
The Resident Magistrate's Court House,
Tauranga;
The School House, Papakura;
The Toll Bar on Tamaki Road, Newmarket;
The Court House, Thames Gold Field, Shortland;
Messrs. Allen and Hall's Store, Thames Gold

The Native School House, Township of Wan-
garei;
The Resident Magistrate's Station, Wangarei
Heads;
Mr. William Harrison's Residence, Mangapai;
The School House, Waipu;
The Post Office, Mangawai;
Mr. Wm. Bonar's Saw Mill, Wairoa, Kaipara,
Aratapu;
The Post Office, Port Albert, Albert Land;
The Post Office, Paparoa;
The Court House, Russell;
The Runanga House, Waimate;
The Court House, Herd's Point, Hokianga;
The Court House, Wangaroa;
Mr. James Tautari's Store, Kawakawa;
The Court House, Mongonui;
Mr. Ball's Residence, Oruaiti;
The Runanga House, Oruru;
Mr. James Matthews' Residence, Kaitaia.

And I do also hereby abolish the existing principal
polling place for the Province of Auckland for the
election of Superintendent thereof, and do appoint
in place thereof---

The Mechanics' Institute, Auckland.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued at
Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of
September, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
