THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
Electoral District, within or without the limits
thereof, and to appoint any one of such places to be
the principal polling place for the district, and all or
any of such polling places at any time to abolish, and
to appoint other polling places in lieu thereof:

And whereas by warrant under the hand of the
Governor, bearing date the eleventh day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, Mr. Blakie's
Barn, Ryal Bush, was appointed a polling place
for the District of New River, for the election of
Members of the Provincial Council of the Province
of Southland: And whereas it is expedient to
abolish the same:

Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act, do
hereby abolish the above-named polling place for
the District of New River, for the election of
Members of the Provincial Council of the Province
of Southland, and do appoint in lieu thereof

The School House, Wallacetown, and
The Police Station, Winton.

And I do appoint the School House, Wallacetown,
to be the principal polling place for the said District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the
same, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this seventh day of Septem-
ber, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

I, the undersigned WILLIAM JESSER COOPE, hereby
make application to register "The Auriferous
Spur Gold Mining Company, Registered," under
the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is, to the best
of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular,
namely :-

  1. That the name and style of the Company is
    "The Auriferous Spur Gold Mining Company,
    Registered."

  2. That the place of operations is adjoining the
    Beach, Tararu, at the Thames Gold Field, in the
    Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is
    eighteen thousand pounds (£18,000), in eighteen
    thousand (18,000) shares of one pound (£1) each.

  4. That the amount paid up is fifteen thousand
    seven hundred and fifty pounds (£15,750), in paid
    up scrip allotted by the Company to the original
    shareholders.

  5. That the name of the manager is William
    Jesser Coope.

  6. That the office of the Company is in Wyndham
    Street, Auckland.

  7. The names and several residences of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at
    this date, are as follows:-

Registered," under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865;" and I do

    Great Victoria and Black Angel Gold Mining Com-
    pany, Registered."

  2. The place of operations is at Waiotahi Creek,
    at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auck-
    land, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is ten
    thousand pounds (£10,000), in two thousand (2,000)
    shares of five pounds (£5) each.

  4. The amount already paid up is nine thousand
    (£9,000).

  5. The name of the manager is William Jesser
    Coope.

  6. The office of the Company is at Wyndham.
