NOTE. Formerly, the export value of gold was fixed at £3 17s. 6d. per ounce, except that from Auckland, which was
entered at the exporter's declared value. Since September, 1867, the Auckland gold has been entered at £3 3s., and the gold
from the other Provinces at £4 per ounce.
