general information.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Shifting of Tranmere Buoy, Manukau Harbour.
Pilot Station,
Manukau, 8th January, 1869.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the "Tranmere" Shoal
Buoy has shifted to the South-east of the line of
beacons at South Head; and mariners are hereby
cautioned to pay particular attention to the pointing
of the semaphore arms at the Signal Station, when
approaching or leaving the harbour.
Due notice will be given when the "Tranmere"
Shoal Buoy is replaced.

In consequence of the shoaling of the present
Western Channel over Wide Bay Bar, masters of
vessels are cautioned against using this channel until
further notice.

MASTERS of vessels are hereby informed that the
Cutting through the Upper Flats, in the Fitzroy
River, has now only a depth of two feet three inches
at low-water springs.

Claims Settlement Acts, the claims specified in

February next, and following days, at which time
