A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the
twentieth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-eight, the limits of certain Ports
in the Colony of New Zealand were, for the purposes
of "The Marine Act, 1867," defined: And whereas
it is expedient to define the other Ports in the
Schedule hereto described:

Now therefore I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
virtue of the powers vested in me in this behalf by
"The Marine Act, 1867," do hereby proclaim the
places mentioned in the second column of the Sche-
dule hereto to be Ports within the meaning of the
said Act, and do order that, for the purposes of the
said Act, their limits shall be such as are defined and
set opposite to their respective names in the third
column of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PROVINCE. PORT. SEAWARD LIMITS.
Auckland Hastings ... A circle of two nautic miles in

radius from the landward end
of the wharf at Tapu Creek. |
| Marlborough | Kaikoura ... | A circle of three nautic miles in
radius from the summit of
Mount Eyes, the highest point
of the Peninsula. |

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington,
this third day of July, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-nine.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of June, 1869.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS at a sitting of the Native Lands
Court at New Zealand, held at Greytown, in
the District of Wairarapa, Province of Wellington,
on the seventeenth day of March, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-nine, the claim of Ihaka Te Moe
and others to a piece of land called Akura, situate at
Wairarapa, in the said District, was heard, and a
certain order was thereupon made by the Court
aforesaid: And whereas it is enacted by "The Native
Lands Act, 1865," and "The Native Lands Act,
1867," that the Governor in Council may order a
rehearing of any matter judicially heard before the
Court aforesaid, before one or more Judges of the
Court, and one or more Assessors, as may be specified
in the Order in Council ordering such rehearing, and
within such a period of time as may be limited in
such Order: Provided that no such Order for a
rehearing shall be made after six months shall have
elapsed from the date of the original decision: And
whereas it is expedient that the said claim shall be
reheard before the said Court:

Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, in pursuance and exercise of the above-
recited power and authority, doth hereby order that
the aforesaid claim of Ihaka Te Moe to the aforesaid
piece of land shall be reheard before the under-
mentioned Judge of the Native Land Court—

and before the under-mentioned Assessors or either of
them—

HENARE KORERA,
WIREMU TAKO NGATATA:

And doth order that such rehearing shall take place
on such day, not later than the first day of Septem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, as
shall be appointed by the Court.
