ing by admeasurement one (1) acre and eleven (11) perches,
more or less; bounded towards the North by a public road,
five hundred and eleven (511) links; towards the West by
a public road, four hundred and twenty-one (421) links;
and towards the South-east by a public road, six hundred

the Waste Lands of the Crown in the Province of Auck-
land as is included between two lines drawn on each side
of, parallel to, and at a distance of a chain from the line of
electric telegraph laid down in the said Province from
Auckland to Cambridge, Kihikihi, Alexandra, to Napier, is
required for purposes of electric telegraph, except so much
of the said reserve as has been released and discharged from
the purposes of the said electric telegraph by a certain

WHEREAS by virtue of an Act of the General by and
HEREAS by virtue of an Act of the General
Native Lands Act, 1867," the Governor may at his
discretion refer to the Native Lands Court the claim
of any person to, or any question affecting the title
to or interest of any such person in land within the
boundaries described in the second Schedule to the
said Act, being the boundaries described in a certain
Deed of Sale to the Crown bearing date the thirteenth
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-six, and expressed to be a conveyance by Natives
entitled to land within the district excepted from the
operation of "The Native Lands Act, 1865," by
section eighty-two thereof: Provided that no claim
no question relating to the title or interest of
any Native who shall have signed the said Deed of
Sale shall be so referred:
Now therefore I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the
Governor of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
vested in me in that behalf, do hereby refer to the
Native Land Court all questions affecting the title
to or interests of the persons whose names are
mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written, and of
all other persons, being persons who have not signed
the said Deed of Sale, who may claim with, under, or
