TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:
WHEREAS by "The Mortgages of Stock Regis-
tration Act, 1868," it is enacted that every
mortgage of stock may be registered in the manner
in the said Act mentioned, by filing the same, or a
copy thereof, with a certain affidavit, in the office of
the Registrar or Deputy Registrar of the Province
within which such stock are: Provided that if such
stock be within some district in the Colony not being
within any Province, such mortgage or copy shall be
filed in such Supreme Court Office as the Governor
shall from time to time, by warrant under his hand,
appoint to be the Supreme Court Office for such
district for the purposes of the said Act:
Now know ye, that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of New Zealand, in exercise of the
power in me vested by the said Act, do by this present
warrant under my hand, appoint the Supreme Court
Office at Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury,
to be the Supreme Court Office for the District-of
THE CHATHAM ISLANDS,
for the purposes of "The Mortgages of Stock Regis-
tration Act, 1868."
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same, this seven-
teenth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-nine.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me by the
Regulations contained in the Schedule to the
Proclamation dated the twentieth day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, by the
Governor in Council, of Regulations for the sale,
letting, disposal, occupation, and management of
the Waste Lands within the County of Westland:
I, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint on and from the fourth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine,
MALCOLM FRASER, Esq.,
to be Chief Commissioner of the Waste Lands Board
of the said County of Westland, to hold office during
my pleasure.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand

and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her
