I T is hereby notified for general information, that
in consequence of a Report of an Inquiry held by
the Official Engineer and Surveyor, under the powers
vested in him by "The Steam Navigation Act, 1866,"
into the circumstances which led to an accident to
the boiler of the s.s. "Wallabi" on the 25th day of
February last, which Report declares that the engineer
was in fault, and recommends that his certificate be
forfeited; and by virtue of the powers delegated to
me by the Postmaster-General of New Zealand, I
hereby suspend the engineer's certificate, No. 144 of
New Zealand, in favour of ALEXANDER MILNE, for a
period of three months from the first day of June
next.

I, the undersigned ALBERT BEETHAM, hereby make
application to register "The Deep Lead Gold
Mining Company, Registered," under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act,
1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that
the following statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

The name of the Company is "The Deep Lead
Gold Mining Company, Registered." -
The place of operations is at the Kurunui Creek,
Thames Gold Fields. -
The nominal capital of the Company is twenty-
seven thousand pounds in two thousand seven
hundred shares of ten pounds each. -
The amount already paid up is twenty-four
thousand three hundred pounds. -
The name of the manager is Albert Beetham,
Pollen Street, Shortland. -
The office of the Company is at Beetham,
Walker, and Co., Pollen Street, Shortland. -
