    Population given for them does not include the Numbers in the Shipping in the various Harbours (viz. 2,164), or the Inhabitants of the Chatham Islands (viz. 184). These Numbers must therefore
    be added to the above Total, to bring out the General Total of 218,668 for the Colony.
