PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY.
All that parcel of land, being so much and such part of
the Waste Lands of the Crown in the Province of Canter-
bury as is included between two lines drawn on each side
of, parallel to, and at a distance of a chain from the line of
electric telegraph established in the said Province from
the Waitaki River to the Waiho River, from the Waiho
River to the Rakaia River, from the Rakaia River to
Christchurch, and from Christchurch to the Kowai River,
and from the Kowai River to the Hurunui River, is
required for the purposes of the electric telegraph.
Except so much of the said reserve as has been released
and discharged from the purposes of the said electric
telegraph by a certain Order in Council, dated 20th Novem-
ber, 1868.

TOWNSHIP OF AROWHENUA.
Sections numbers eleven (11), twelve (12), fourteen
(14), sixteen (16), eighteen (18), in the block bounded on
the North by Prince's Street, and on the South by
Alexander Street; and sections numbers one hundred and
seventy-nine (179), one hundred and eighty-one (181), and
one hundred and eighty-three (183), in the block bounded
on the North by Denmark Street, and on the South by
High Street.
TOWNSHIP OF WAIΜΑΤΕ.
Sections numbers fifty-six (56), fifty-seven (57), fifty-
eight (58), fifty-nine (59), sixty (60), sixty-one (61),
sixty-two (62), sixty-three (63), sixty-four (64), sixty-five
(65), in the block bounded on the North-west by Harris
Street, and on the South-east by Innes Street.
Sections numbers seventy-three (73) and seventy-four
(74) in the block bounded on the North-west by Innes
Street, and on the South-east by Shearman Street.
Sections numbers three hundred and twelve (312), three
hundred and thirteen (313), and three hundred and four-
teen (314), in the block bounded on the North-west by
Dobson Street, and on the North-east by High Street.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the several parcels of Waste Lands of the Crown particularly specified and
described in the Schedule hereunder written are required for the purposes mentioned and set opposite
to the descriptions of the said parcels of land respectively in the said Schedule, and that the same have been
respectively excepted from sale and reserved to Her Majesty by the Orders in Council bearing the dates
mentioned in the second column of the said Schedule.
