IN exercise of the power in me vested by "The
Intestate Estates Act, 1865," I, Sir George
Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, do
hereby direct that for each of the Curator's Districts
hereinafter mentioned the newspaper or Gazette, other
than the New Zealand Gazette, in which every
Curator of Intestate Estates is by the nineteenth
section of the said Act required to publish the list or
statement therein mentioned, shall be the newspaper
or Gazette the name whereof is set against the name
of such Curator's District in the table hereunder
written, that is to say—

Auckland "The Auckland Provincial Government Gazette."
Taranaki "The Government Gazette of the Province of Taranaki."
Hawke's Bay... "The Hawke's Bay Government Gazette."
Wellington "The Provincial Government Gazette of the Province of Wellington."
Nelson and Marlborough "The Government Gazette of the Province of Nelson."
Canterbury "The Government Gazette of the Province of Canterbury."
Westland "The County of Westland Gazette."
Otago "The Otago Provincial Government Gazette."
Southland "The Southland Provincial Government Gazette."

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:

WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections
Act, 1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful
for the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from
time to time to appoint polling places for each
Electoral District, within or without the limits thereof,
and to appoint any one of such places to be the
principal polling place for the district, and all or any
of such polling places at any time to abolish, and to
appoint other polling places in lieu thereof: And
whereas, by warrant under the hand of the Governor,
bearing date the seventeenth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, the Tikoranga
Redoubt was appointed a polling place for the District
of Grey and Bell, and the Omata Stockade was
appointed a polling place for the District of Omata,
for the election of Members of the House of Repre-
sentatives:

And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same :

Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act,
do hereby abolish the above-named polling places
for the said Districts for the election of Members
of the House of Representatives, and do appoint in
lieu thereof—

Messrs. Webster's Store, for the District of
Grey and Bell;

The Omata Schoolroom, for the District of
Omata.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this second day
of April, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

WHEREAS by "The Volunteer Act, 1865," it is
enacted that the Governor may at any time
call out for actual service any Volunteer Corps, and
that every officer and volunteer belonging to any
Corps so called out shall be bound to assemble at
such place as the Governor may direct, and shall
remain on actual service until released by the
Governor's authority:

Now therefore I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of New Zealand, do hereby call out for
actual service the several Volunteer Corps named in
the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby direct the
Officers and Volunteers of each of the said Corps to
assemble at the time and place mentioned, and set
opposite to the name of such Corps in the Schedule
aforesaid.

R.N., of H.M.S. "Blanche," that he has, on
behalf of Her Majesty, re-entered and taken posses-
sion of the Auckland Islands, &c., is published for
general information.

I DECLARE that I, in the name of, and on behalf of,
Her Most Gracious Majesty the Queen of Great
