Post Office, Sydney, relating to an alteration in
the Money Order System in the Colony of New
South Wales, is published for general information.

the Money Order Office at Fish River Creek will be
abolished on and after the 1st November.

THE following Notice to Mariners with respect to
a Sunken Rock between Cape Foulwind and
Buller River, which has been issued by the Hydro-
graphical Department of the Admiralty, is published
for general information.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

NEW ZEALAND—MIDDLE ISLAND—WEST COAST.
Sunken Rock between Cape Foulwind and River Buller.

INFORMATION has been received from Commander H.
L. Percival, H.M.S. "Falcon," that a sunken rock
(now called the Falcon Rock), having two or three
feet over it at low water, lies midway between the
north extreme of the Three Steeples (off Cape Foul-
wind) and the entrance of the River Buller.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Alteration of Channel, Manukau Bar.

Marine Department,
Wellington, 24th October, 1868.

NOTICE is hereby given that the South Bank at
the entrance to Manukau Harbour, is reported
to have shifted so far as to render it unsafe to enter
on the line of the leading beacons on the South
Head, as this line would now lead on the tail of the
bank. A fresh survey of the channels has been
ordered, and Mariners are for the present warned to
be extremely cautious, and to pay close attention to
the steering signals from the Pilot Station.

A PPLICATION for Letters Patent.—Notice is
hereby given that an application has been made
to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand by John Goodall, in the Colony of
New Zealand, praying for the grant to him, the said
John Goodall, of Letters Patent under the seal of
the said Colony, for the exclusive use, advantage,
and enjoyment of a new invention of a machine
called "A Conoidal Reducing and Amalgamating
Pan," for the purpose of saving gold and quicksilver.

And notice is hereby given that any person who
may wish to prefer any objections to the granting of
such Letters Patent is hereby required, within four
calendar months from the publication of this notice,
to send to the office of John Boyle Bennett, Esquire,

Registrar-General, at Wellington, in the Province of
Wellington, in the said Colony of New Zealand
(being the person appointed for that purpose under
the provisions of "The Patent Act, 1860,") a state-
ment in writing, showing the grounds of such objec-
tion, and subscribed with the proper name and
address of the person so objecting.

I, the undersigned SAMUEL JOHN EDMONDS, hereby
make application to register "The Full Moon
Gold Mining Company, Registered," under the
provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865;" and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is, to the best of
my belief and knowledge, true in every particular,
namely:---

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The
    Full Moon Gold Mining Company, Registered."
  2. The place of operations is at Tapu Creek, in
    the Thames District.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is eight
    thousand pounds, in eight hundred shares of ten
    ten pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is six thousand
    four hundred pounds.

    "Una Quartz Crushing and Gold Mining Company
    Registered."
  2. The place of operations is the Karaka Creek,
    in the Thames Gold Field, District of Hauraki, in
    the Province of Auckland, Colony of New Zealand.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is four
    thousand pounds in four hundred shares of ten
    pounds each.
