after specified to be the principal polling place for
the said District of the Gold Fields, viz. :—
The Court House, Clyde.

Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of October, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING :
WHEREAS by " The Regulation of Elections Act,
1858," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by warrant under his hand, from time
to time to appoint polling places for each Electoral
District, within or without the limits thereof, and to
appoint any one of such places to be the principal
polling place for the district, and all or any of such
polling places at any time to abolish, and to appoint
other polling places in lieu thereof: And whereas by
warrant under the hand of the Governor, the following
polling places were appointed polling places and principal
polling places for the districts hereinafter mentioned,
for the election of Superintendent and Members
of the Provincial Council for the Province of Otago,
viz. :—
For the District of Wakari—The School House,
Wakari.
For the District of Port Chalmers—The Court
House, Port Chalmers.
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same :
Now know ye that I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen,
the Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Act, do
hereby abolish the above-named polling places and
principal polling places for the said districts, for the
election of Superintendent and Members of the
Provincial Council of the said Province of Otago.

conducted in the manner prescribed by "The Regu-
lation of Elections Act, 1858," aforesaid, and the
provisions of the said last-mentioned Act shall apply
to the elections of Superintendents and Members of
Provincial Councils :
Now therefore I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the
Governor of the said Colony, in pursuance of the
power and authority in me vested by the said Acts,
do hereby appoint the following places to be additional
polling places for the districts hereinafter mentioned,
for the election of Superintendent and Members of
the Provincial Council of the said
