NOTICE.—His Excellency the Governor has been
pleased to direct the notification to be made for
public information that, pursuant to the powers in
that behalf delegated to and vested in him, His
Excellency has been pleased to accept the convey-
ances hereinafter mentioned of blocks of land from
aboriginal Natives inhabitants of New Zealand to
Her Majesty the Queen, that is to say,—from
Wiremu Tinitara Te Kaewa and Karaitiana Korou,
aboriginal Natives of the tribe Ngatiteumu, a con-
veyance of all that block or piece of land, situated at
Wairarapa and named Wangaehu, bounded towards
the North by Native land, and by disputed land from
the Wangaehu River to Taungatara and Pukawa;
towards the East by Native land from Pukawa to
Purupuru; towards the South partly by Crown
land and partly by Native lands, from Purupuru to
the Wangaehu River; and towards the West by the
Wangaehu River.
From Karaitiana Korou and Erihapeti Whaka-
maire, aboriginal Natives of the tribe Ngatikahu-
ngunu, a conveyance of all that block or piece of
land, situated at Wairarapa and named Te Kohutu,
bounded towards the north-west by a public road
separating it from the Masterton Small Farm Reserve;
towards the north-east by the Makaura Stream;
towards the south-east by Native land; towards the
south-west by the Kurupuni Stream.
