PPLICATION under "The Mining Companies
Limited Liability Act, 1865."-To the Warden
of the District of Hauraki, Province of Auckland.
I, the undersigned, Thomas Shailer Weston,
hereby make application to register "The Great
Republic Gold Mining Company, Registered," under
the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely
declare that the following statement is, to the best of
my belief and knowledge, true in every particular,
namely :-
- The name and style of the Company is "The
Great Republic Gold Mining Company, Registered." - The place of operation is at the Waiotahi Creek,
Karaka, Thames District, Province of Auckland. - The nominal capital of the Company is Six
thousand four hundred pounds (£6,400), in sixty-
four shares of One hundred pounds (£100) each. - The amount already paid up is Five thousand
one hundred and twenty pounds (£5,120). - The name of the manager is Thomas Shailer
Weston. - The office of the Company is at Crescent
Chambers, Shortland Street, Auckland. - The names and several residences of the share-
holders and the number of shares held by each at
this date are as follows:-

Publications of the "Novara" Expedition, and will
be found a valuable addition to Dr. Hochstetter's
recently translated work on New Zealand.
Copies can be obtained on application to the
Government Printer, Wellington. All orders to be
accompanied by a remittance, in cash, or Post Office
order. Postage or duty stamps cannot be received
in payment from any place at which Post Office
orders are issued.
