NOTICE TO MARINERS.
Red Light on Queen's Wharf, Wellington.

IT is hereby notified that on and after the night of
Wednesday, the fifteenth of April, 1868, a fixed Red
Light (which will be visible from N.N.E. round by
E. to S.S.E.) will be exhibited from the flagstaff on
the outer end of the Queen's Wharf extension.

Compass Bearings to Light.
Jerningham Point ... W. by S.
Halswell Point ... W. by S. 1/4 S.
Soames Island Lighthouse S.W. 3/4 W.
Ngahauranga S. by W. 1/2 W.
Pipitea Point S. 1/2 W.

The bearings are magnetic; variation 15Β° E. in 1855.

I, the undersigned JAMES SMART, of the City of
Auckland, merchant, hereby make application
to register "The Thames Crushing Company,
Registered," under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do
solemnly and sincerely declare that the following
statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge,
true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is
    "The Thames Crushing Company, Registered."
  2. The place of intended operations is at the
    Thames Gold Fields, Province of Auckland.
  3. The nominal capital of the Company is five
    thousand pounds in one thousand shares of five
    pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is two hundred and
    eighty-five pounds sterling.
  5. The name of the manager is James Smart, of
    Auckland, merchant.
  6. The office of the Company is at High Street, in
    the City of Auckland.
