accept the resignation of the commissions held
by the undermentioned officers, viz.:-
Lieut. C. Stephenson, Auckland Naval Volun-
teers.
Lieut. Wm. De Troy, No. 1 Company Canter-
bury Rifle Volunteers.
Cornet H. C. W. Wrigg, Bay of Plenty Cavalry
Volunteers.

WITH reference to the Rules and Regulations for
the firing for the Government prizes 1868,
published in Gazette No. 66 of the 7th December,
fol. 477, the following alterations are made, viz:-

In Clause 2.
The number of shots at each Range for the 1st set.
Colonial prizes to be five instead of three. No prize
will be given for a less score than 30 marks. Highest
possible score 60 marks.

In Clause 3.
Preliminary competitive firing, seven shots instead
of three. Highest possible score 84 marks. One
Representative for every 20 men who score 42
(instead of 18) marks. The minimum score for a
Representative will be 50 (instead of 24) marks.

ALL persons holding public money are hereby
reminded that any balance remaining in hand on
the 31st instant, must be paid to the Public Account at
the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, for
which payment a receipt must be obtained in the usual
form, to be transmitted with the accounts; but if the
accounts should not be ready on the 1st proximo, the
bank receipt must be transmitted to the Treasury,
having endorsed on it "refund of advance," that the
account may be duly credited.

desirous of purchasing the volume of New
Zealand Statutes for 1867 are informed that copies
can be had on application to the Government Printer,
at the following prices :-

Loose copies ... ... Sixpence per sheet.

All orders for the same must be accompanied by a
remittance; and when ten or more copies are
purchased, twenty per cent. discount will be allowed.
No payments above five shillings to be made in
stamps.
