THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
I, WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Superintendent of
the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the
powers delegated to me under "The Diseased Cattle
Act, 1861," and "The Diseased Cattle Amendment
Act, 1865," do hereby appoint the undermentioned
persons to be Inspectors of Diseased Cattle, under
the aforesaid Acts, for the Province of Canterbury,
viz. :-
THOMAS HILL, M.R.C.V.S.,
FRANK MATHIAS.
These appointments to take effect from and after
Tuesday, the 12th instant.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this
fifth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-seven.

THE following sections of "The Native Lands Act
1867," relating to Interpreter's certificates
and Surveyor's licenses, are published for general
information.

7. The Governor or the Chief Judge of the court,
may grant certificates to such persons as they
respectively think fit, authorizing them to act as
interpreters under the said Act and this Act, or may
revoke the same, and no person shall act as interpreter
under the said Act or this Act, either in court, or
under the thirty-first section of this Act, who does
not hold such certificate.
30. A fee of five pounds shall be payable in respect
of every surveyor's license or warrant heretofore or

hereafter to be issued under the sixty-seventh section
of the said Act, and such fee shall be payable to the
Inspector of Surveys, who shall endorse a receipt of
the same upon the license, and shall remit the same
to the Colonial Treasurer; and no license heretofore
granted shall be valid after the first day of January
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, unless
such endorsement shall have been made upon it.

South Wales, is published for general information.

POST OFFICE MONEY ORDERS.
WITH reference to Treasury Notice of the 10th
December, 1862, published in Government Gazette,
No. 231, it is hereby notified, that on and after the
1st May, 1867, the Post Office Money Order System
will be extended to the following places, viz.:-
Blayney,
Coonamble,
Dapto,
Grenfell,
Gunning,
Nattai.

NOTICE. In compliance with clause one hundred
and eight of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," notice is hereby given that at the annual
general meeting of the Freemasons' Hall Company
(Limited), New Plymouth, held on the 20th Septem-
ber last, it was resolved that the said Company "be
wound up voluntarily;" and at a special general
meeting convened for the purpose, and held not
less than one nor more than three months after the
passing of such resolution, it was duly confirmed.
It is hereby further notified that a special general
meeting of the shareholders will be held at the
Company's Offices, Brougham Street, on Wednesday,
18th December proximo, at four o'clock, p.m., for
the purpose of considering the account of the
liquidators in terms of paragraph ten, clause one
hundred and nine, of "The Joint Stock Companies
Act, 1860."

New Plymouth, 5th November, 1867.
GREYMOUTH and Saltwater Creek Tramway
Company (Limited). -Notice. -The following
special resolution was passed at an extraordinary
meeting of the shareholders of the Company, held at
the Union Hotel, Greymouth, the 24th day of
October, 1867.
A quorum of the shareholders being present it was
resolved unanimously-
"That it is the opinion of the shareholders
present, that it is advisable to effect a voluntary
winding up of the Greymouth and Saltwater Creek
Tramway Company (Limited), and that immediate
steps should be now taken for that purpose, and that
this resolution shall be considered a special resolu-
tion for the purpose of winding up the Company.
