I, the undersigned JOHN MCAULIFFE, hereby make
application to register "The Band of Hope
Gold Mining Company," under the provisions of
"The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act,
1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that
the following statement is, to the best of my know-
ledge, true in every particular, namely:-
- The name and style of the Company is "The
Band of Hope Gold Mining Company." - The place of operations is at Ross.
- The nominal capital of the Company is four
thousand four hundred pounds sterling (£4400) in
four hundred and forty shares of (440) of ten pounds
(£10) sterling per share. - The amount of capital paid up is two hundred
and twenty pounds (£220) sterling. - The name of the manager is John McAuliffe.
- The office of the Company is at the Store of
J. Gibson and Company, Ross. - The names and several residences of the share-
holders and the number of shares held by each at
this date are as follows:-

Mining Company, Donoghue's, Registered," under
the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and
sincerely declare that the following statement is,
to the best of my belief and knowledge, true
in every particular, namely:-
- The name and style of the Company is "The
Alexandra Gold Mining Company, Donoghue's,
Registered." - The place of operations is at Donoghue's, Dis-
trict of Totara, Westland. - The nominal capital of the Company is four
thousand five hundred pounds in nine hundred
shares of five pounds each. - The amount already paid up is nine hundred
and five pounds ten shillings. - The name of the manager is James Moye.
- The office of the Company is at Ross.
- The names and several residences of the share-

I, WILLIAM TREGEAGLE, of St. Mawes, in the
County of Cornwall, England, hereby give you
notice that I claim the amount of Twenty pounds,
or thereabouts, with interest accruing thereon to
date of payment, lodged in his own behalf in your
Bank by Samuel Tregeagle, late of Dunedin,
fisherman, but now deceased, on the ground of my
being the father of the said deceased Samuel
Tregeagle, and his next of kin.

Mills, Canada West, America, by profession a Civil
Engineer, and who is supposed to have been survey-
ing on the Waikiwi Plains, Southland, in September

information respecting him is requested to commu-
nicate with the Chief Surveyor of Southland.
